Spray Foam Magazine – Show 2026 – In the U.S., only a select few have earned the title of veteran in the spray foam industry, signifying extensive experience and long-term commitment. Each year, Spray Foam Magazine honors one of these individuals for their dedication, expertise, and leadership. Congratulations to Mark Gordos for being recognized as a true SPF veteran and earning a place in our Hall of Foam.

Being an SPF veteran requires more than years of experience. It involves developing innovative business ideas, collaborating effectively, sharing knowledge, inspiring peers, and adapting to change. Mark Gordos, owner of On the Mark Spray Foam Insulation, LLC in Holiday, Florida, has become a leader in the spray foam insulation industry.

His journey began 28 years ago at age 22, when he started as an insulation contractor. What began as a job soon became a passion for spray foam. “I totally fell in love with the science behind it. I started off working at City Wide Insulation in Wisconsin, and after a while, my wife convinced me to move to Florida to be near her parents.

I introduced SPF to a few companies in Florida, and at the age of 22, I was making great money,” explained Mark.

After nine years working for others and with a state weatherization program, Mark launched his own spray foam insulation business. Through an unwavering commitment to excellence and customer service, he rapidly rose to become one of Tampa’s top SPF providers, growing his company to nine employees and a fleet of four rigs.

Despite having several employees, Mark remains closely involved in daily operations, overseeing production, sales, customer relations, and bookkeeping. Over the past year, he further strengthened the business by completing training at the American Chemistry Council, Fire Festival, and BPI.

Each year, Mark is committed to giving back to the community. For example, when he learned of a veteran’s 1,500 square foot home that had been devastated by fire, he partnered with Operation Code Vet to help. The On the Mark Spray Foam crew installed SPF at only the cost of materials and labor, supporting veterans who cannot afford or manage code compliance themselves.

Mark and his team approach every project, whether large or small, with respect. One of Mark’s grander jobs was installing 60,000 board feet of foam to an 80,000 square foot Tampa estate owned by a renowned philanthropist and cardiovascular surgeon. You can read about this massive project of Mark’s we covered in a previous issue of Spray Foam Magazine.

Outside of work, Mark enjoys spending time with his family and the outdoors. In five years, he plans to transition the company to his children and open another division. Mark is a successful industry veteran, and his ambition remains stronger than ever. Congratulations to Mark Gordos on this well-deserved recognition.
