Huntsman Building Solutions Launches Icynene® PrimeNM No-Mix Open-Cell Spray Foam
THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – October 26, 2026 – Huntsman Building Solutions (HBS), a global leader in high-performance, sustainable building envelope solutions, introduced Icynene® PrimeNM, a no-mix open-cell spray polyurethane foam insulation engineered for consistent, efficient application. Its environmentally responsible formulation complies with ICC-ES AC377 Appendix U, a standardized fire-testing pathway for unvented-attic spray foam assemblies. This compliance eliminates the need for an additional ignition barrier in qualifying assemblies moving forward.

With a density of 0.45- to 0.5-pound-per-cubic-foot, Icynene PrimeNM offers strong adhesion across a wide range of diverse substrates, including excellent adhesion to itself. With no dripping during overhead application, the material enables pass-on-pass spraying with minimal wait time.

Icynene PrimeNM low-emission formulation features a GWP below 1, zero ODP, low VOC emissions, and GREENGUARD Gold certification. By limiting air leakage and convective moisture movement, it can reduce energy costs and environmental impact.
The product complies with ICC requirements for spray polyurethane foam insulation, meets California VOC requirements, and is tested to ASTM C1338 for fungal resistance.
