Polyurea Coatings Company Expands Into New Production Facility

KANSAS CITY, KS–July 30, 2012–After 18 years of developing a wide ranging offering of products, service and knowledge based on polyurea technology, VersaFlex is moving into a new headquarters and manufacturing facility in Kansas City.

The new building is perfectly suited for the company’s continued growth and future business plans. At just over 100,000 sq/ft. the new building will allow the ISO registered company to make the transition to an even higher level of design, manufacturing and quality control capabilities. Aside from the increased space for all manufacturing needs, a large investment for a full capacity product development and testing laboratory is being made. In addition to the existing quality control/quality assurance ISO certification, the new laboratory will also be submitted for ISO Certification as a Quality Product Development Facility.

VersaFlex continues to experience solid growth and will be increasing its staff of support personnel to further enhance service to the global customer base. This new facility will provide the space for increased inventories of raw materials and finished goods and will facilitate the ability to continue meeting customer expectations for delivery of the highest quality products and services in the industry.

“It’s amazing that we found a perfect facility right down the block from our old location. The move will be greatly eased through being able to take many items just down the street with the forklifts,” claims Jim Scheckel, VersaFlex’s Controller.

Plans are also in the works to construct another major polyurea training facility inside the new building, much like their Houston Training Center in Texas. Demand for professionally trained polyurea applicators in several emerging markets continues to rise. VersaFlex recently released its 7th polyurea training course module as well, making their polyurea training school series one of the most comprehensive and highest reviewed in the industry. Several more polyurea technical schools are currently in development.
