CPI Issues Call for Papers and Posters for the 2013 Polyurethanes Technical Conference in Phoenix

WASHINGTON, D.C.–November 6, 2012–The Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI) of the American Chemistry Council has issued a call for papers and posters to be presented at the 2013 Polyurethanes Technical Conference, which will take place September 23-25, 2013, at the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown in Phoenix, Arizona. The event is the leading technical conference for the polyurethanes industry in the North America, bringing together experts throughout the field from across the globe and building on the success of the 2012 conference.

Paper abstracts are due February 1, 2013. Submission instructions and guidelines for development of papers and posters can be found on CPI's website,www.polyurethane.org. Poster abstracts are due August 22, 2013.

Papers may address innovations and developments involving polyurethane chemistry or uses, including new polyurethane products or applications; raw material or additive innovations; or breakthroughs in equipment design or operation.

Papers and posters also may focus on issues associated with the manufacture, use, handling, transportation, disposal, and end-of-life of polyurethanes, as well as health, environmental and product stewardship issues. Regulatory and legislative topics, code and standard developments are also welcome as paper and poster topics.

Criteria for paper and poster abstracts include originality and relevance of the topic. Paper and poster abstracts will be judged by a panel of technical and industry experts. Paper presentations are judged on both technical merit and the quality and effectiveness of the speaker, and clarity of the presentation. Awards will be presented at the conference in September to recognize outstanding papers and posters in relevant categories, as chosen by conference attendees.
