Connecticut Spray Foam Company Completes Project For 200-Year-Old Government Building

RIDGEFIELD, CT – December 2, 2011 – Home to rolling hills and beautiful open space, Ridgefield, Conn. is what many believe to be a typical New England town.

Not only is the town known for its pleasing aesthetics, but also for its rich history.

Ridgefield is home to a 200-year-old town hall that recently underwent a three-day insulation installation job headed by BRP Spray Foam Insulation Owner Bohdan Lonevsky and his eight-contractor, two-machine team.

BRP Spray Foam Insulation was tasked with applying spray foam insulation in a 8,000-saure foot attic at the top of the aging building.

Lonevsky stated that there was no insulation at all in any of the upper levels and attic areas.

The task was very straight forward, but Lonevsky faced a problem before he could even move his team to the site.

“The time limitation was very difficult to work around,” he said. “During the week, the town hall was always being used. The only time we were able to come in and work was during the weekend.”

Despite limited access during the week, Lonevsky and his team worked through the weekend working 14-hour shifts per day.

Putting his entire team into the project, Lonevsky’s team applied Demilec closed-cell spray foam into the attic’s walls and ceiling. They then applied mineral wool material on top of the foam while finishing off the job with the application of FSK Paper, a fire-retardant material, over the foam.

With the completion of the job, Lonevsky stated that the employees of the town hall were very satisfied with the work.

“Now with the building being insulated, I’m hoping the town hall employees will see a bigger difference this coming winter when they notice 45-60% less energy loss with the new spray foam installed,” Lonevsky said.
