VersaFlex Announces Upcoming Training Classes

HOUSTON, TX - February 3, 2012 - Whether you’re just starting out in the polyurea industry or a seasoned professional looking to hone your skill set, you’re going to want to mark your calendar. From March 12-14, 2012, VersaFlex Incorporated will host three levels of polyurea training courses in Houston, Texas.

 

Courses will be taught by industry experts and will cover topics for novice and advanced professionals. Level 3 will be held on March 12, with levels 1 & 2 following on March 13 & 14, respectively.

 

Level 1: Fundamentals of Polyurea

Dudley Primeaux will instruct this overview of the basic chemistry, comparative advantages and general benefits of polyurea. This level touches on everything from types of polyurea and application options to spry equipment and polyurea case studies. There will be a high-pressure spray application demo as well.

 

Level 2: Comprehensive Polyurea Technology

This course, also instructed by Primeaux, will delve into advanced chemistry and the more technical aspects of the application process. Topics will include differences in compounds, temperature concerns, component & pressure options, equipment operations, equipment breakdown, jobsite issues & safety, primers & surface prep, real world problems and polyurea troubleshooting. There will also be a hands-on spray session, for which students should bring work clothes, closed-toed shoes and a mask or respirator.

 

Level 3: VersaFlex/PolyVers Products and Project Profiles

Lee Bower will instruct this specialty showcase, which will cover materials like industrial coatings, primers and self-leveling joint filler, as well as applications for extreme chemical exposure, manhole rehab, potable water and waste water systems.

 

The price structure for the courses is as follows:

 

  • Level 1: $200
  • Level 2: $900
  • Level 3: Free

 

All courses include handout materials for the presentations, as well as a light breakfast, a full lunch and refreshments throughout the day. There will also be steak dinner, with a date to be determined. Class sizes are limited to 15 people, so anyone interested in attending shouldn’t hesitate to sign up.
