Spray Foam Manager Talks About Company's Origin and an Interesting Spray Foam Job

WOMELSDORF, PA – June 21, 2011 – AAA Foam, a spray foam application company located in southeastern Pennsylvania, talks with SprayFoam.com about their origins as a company and also of their recent spray foam job.

“I was first introduced to spray foam in 2000,” said Aaron Gehman, general manager of AAA Foam. “I began working for an insulation company in 2001, but in 2003 I decided to purchase that company's spray foam equipment and that’s when I started AAA Foam.”

AAA Foam has been in the spray foam business for nearly eight years and works with not only clients in the state of Pennsylvania but also with a variety of different clients spread out all over the mid-Atlantic region. “We have worked all over the northeast,” said Gehman. “We have clients as far north as Massachusetts and as far south as Virginia.”

Gehman further adds, “AAA Foam only works with spray foam and concrete masonry foam insulation, but we have done numerous spray foam jobs each with their own specific requirement.” Some of the jobs that AAA Foam has completed in the past include marine flotations, underground water pipes, building envelopes, and crawl spaces. AAA Foam also has worked in numerous Agricultural, commercial, and residential buildings. In addition, Gehman and the rest of AAA Foam has worked in preparing the main display for the Philadelphia Flower Show the past two years as well as lining a floating swimming pool on the Chesapeake Bay. “Those were some of our more unique jobs,” said Gehman.

Recently, Gehman and his team completed a job at the Slaymaker Farm in Southern Lancaster County, PA. Before arriving on the site, the owner of the farm got in contact with Gehman and told him that he removed the little fiberglass that was left inside the building. “The owner told me that 75%-85% of the fiberglass had been removed by rodents and that he had to remove only a small amount,” said Gehman. “It is still a mystery what those rodents do with all that fiberglass.”

Upon arrival, the team began applying spray foam to the two story chicken house. The only challenge the team faced while on the job was the presence of two bulls. “The owner told us that one of the bulls was very friendly,” said Gehman. “The other one, however, we had to keep an eye out. At one point, the bull actually approached one of our pieces of equipment that had a red flag at the end of its extension and decided to eat it. Other than that, the two bulls left us alone.”

Despite the presence of the animals on the work site, the job was a success and the owner was very satisfied with not only the great job AAA Foam had done, but also for the amount of money he will be saving on energy costs with the new insulation installed in the chicken house. “I really enjoyed this project realizing the major impact that this project would have on energy and environmental issues,” concluded Gehman.

According to Gehman, the chicken house job is an example of the type of insulation application that can be applied to thousands of different poultry barns all across the Mid-Atlantic by AAA Foam. The company can help spray an egg room and produce coolers. For customers interested in working with AAA Foam, contact them through their website.
