Spray Foam Website and Industry Portal Celebrates Ten (10) Year Anniversary

BRIELLE, NJ – June 22, 2011 – Just over 10 years ago, while working on the marketing team for a prominent spray foam company, Doug Commette, current CEO of SprayFoam.com, was looking through the Internet for information on a particular spray foam subject. The information, however, was not available and the idea for an online directory listing for the spray foam industry was born. Now in 2011, Commette and his online directory website are set to celebrate the website’s 10-year anniversary.

Since the website’s launch, SprayFoam.com has become the leading force in the growth of the spray foam industry with the website’s ability to link customers to contractors in a very quick and effective manner.

“Our website continues to provide excellent service to our visitors and customers," Commette said. "Our main goal is to provide a new business development tool for foam contractors, SPF manufacturers, and equipment distributors especially with the decline in the construction industry.”

SprayFoam.com itself has changed over the years with new features constantly being made available to customers. Website features include: free classifieds, free membership to participate in the question and answer forums and free networking.

“Education is key,” said Commette. “I believe that the Q&A section of SprayFoam.com is one of the most important features. Anyone can go onto the forums with a question and can get an answer from other users. The transfer of information between users absolutely benefits the quality of work, safety and market growth for the spray foam industry.”

Another feature that is available to all customers and registered users is the access to free promotional and commercial advertisement services. Many customers have the ability to post announcements, job postings, videos and other forms of public relations that can be used to promote their company, increase sales or fill open job positions.

Due to the powerful name, leading search engine results and availablity of information to visitors, SprayFoam.com has seen an annual 20-30% rise in traffic from users all over the Internet. According to Commette, 70% of the website’s current traffic is from first time unique visitors  including homeowners looking for spray foam contractors and homebuilders looking to get into the spray foam industry.

Traffic to the website comes not only from the United States, but also from 197 countries all over the world. In the company’s first year, the site averaged 25,000 visits.

“We were so excited when we saw we had over 25,000 visits in one year. Now we service that many visits every 10-15 days,” Commette said.

As of June 2011, SprayFoam.com is yet again running at record traffic levels with over 702,213 visits reported on the website. Also noteworthy is the traffic adoption and growth of the website's mobile application platform. With the amount of traffic going through SprayFoam.com, the networking and new business connection of contractors, suppliers and manufactures to new customers in Europe, the Caribbean and other continents has become easier than ever.

“I truly believe that another important feature of SprayFoam.com is its ability to connect people," Commette said. "With this many users visiting our website, SprayFoam.com is able to provide people in the spray foam industry with jobs and resume posting services that result in employment opportunities. SprayFoam.com has helped play a major role in the success and rise of the Spray Foam industry over the last ten years. Commette estimates that with all of the new business the website generates including spray foam chemical sales, new and used equipment sales and most importantly, spray foam application jobs for the contractors, SprayFoam.com contributes to, and facilitates, a significant portion of the annual business volume into the global spray foam industry. As of now, SprayFoam.com is currently in progress of adding additional features to the website. According to Commette, the site is under going a redesign of the site’s interface with a new launch in the near future. In addition, Commette and SprayFoam.com have added a new office in Florida to expand the company’s Editorial, Marketing and Sales team throughout the southeast.
