Inject-It Foam Expands Service Area, Opens New Location, Makes New Hires

KOKOMO, IN – April 12, 2013 –Inject-It Foam, a subsidiary of Green-Tech Industries specializing in spray foam insulation, injection foam, and polyurea, recently opened a new location in Kokomo, Indiana on April 1st to meet the demands of customers in a new market.

"There were not a lot of people doing spray foam in that area and no one was doing polyurea," said Inject-It Foam CEO Kathy DeGraaff. "They just didn't have the option before."

DeGraaff added that Inject-It chose Kokomo because it is centrally located near several major cities in Indiana such as Indianapolis, Lafayette, and Fort Wayne. The company serves customers within a 100-mile radius.

Although Inject-It is new to the area, the company has been able to find customers quickly. After buying out a roofing company that was previously in the building, Inject-It inherited some of its customers. Also, some of the employees from the roofing company, including a wastewater treatment expert, now work for Green-Tech. 

Another Green-Tech business being run out of the new Kokomo location is Green-Tech EXT. The business specializes in roofing, windows, siding, doors, and gutters.

"When you're doing everything, you increase your percentages of doing spray foam and polyurea at any one location," said DeGraaff. "We solve a lot of problems for a lot of people."

Inject-It does both residential and commercial applications, and the company is seeing a great deal of new commercial business at its new location, according to DeGraaff.

"The word is spreading," she said. "I'm surprised it spread as quickly as it did since it's a smaller community. It does open it up quite a bit for us."

The company's new location, which is an approximately 10,000 sq. ft. metal frame building, will also receive a facelift. The building, built in 1987, suffers from water issues, so Inject-It plans to seal the building with polyurea and insulate it with spray foam.

Currently, the company is training about 20 new applicators who have been hired to work out of the new Kokomo location.
