CUFCA Is Recognized for Its Dedication To The Canadian Spray Polyurethane Foam Industry

NIAGARA FALLS, ONTARIO – October 22, 2014 –The Ontario Building Officials Association (OBOA) recently recognized the Canadian Urethane Contractors Association (CUFCA) by presenting them with an award during OBOA's Annual General Meeting, which was held in Niagara Falls, Ontario on September 30th, 2014.

CUFCA was one of five recipients that were given the OBOA Recognition Award. CUFCA was selected for the award due to their ongoing work and efforts to further the aims and objectives of Building Officials and the greater construction industry by expanding knowledge delivery through participation in OBOA's Annual General Meeting. CUFCA's recognition also stems from their Regional Training Sessions, which are educating sessions on proper spray-applied foam use and the applicable codes and standards that are offered at no charge to all regional chapters across Ontario.

For the past 30 years, CUFCA has been dedicated to the proper administration of training, certification, and field quality assurance program management within the spray foam industry in Canada.

"We are proud of this acknowledgement of our work and will continue to support all Building Officials across Canada in understanding the Spray Foam Industry and its obligations of compliance to the standards created and referenced in the Building Codes in Canada," said Andrew Cole, CUFCA's Executive Director.

CUFCA is a leading not-for-profit provider of Training, Certification, and Inspection services to the Spray Polyurethane Foam Industry in Canada.

"CUFCA would like to thank the OBOA for this recognition and also thank our members of CUFCA that continue to support all of the work we do for the greater Industry and specifically on behalf of our contractor, inspector, and manufacturer members," said Cole.

About CUFCA: The Canadian Urethane Foam Contractors (CUFCA) was established in 1984 by the amalgamation of two predecessor associations to promote and expand the use of spray polyurethane foam. To accomplish this, the spray polyurethane foam industry had to ensure that building industry professionals, including architects, engineers and specification writers, could rely on consistent quality for all applications of spray polyurethane foam.
