SPRAY FOAM MAGAZINE — Welcome to Las Vegas! By all accounts, this year’s SprayFoam Convention & Expo will be the biggest to date. For those of you staying at the convention’s official hotel – Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino – you’ll be in the center of the action for the pre and full convention line-up. You’ll also have the Vegas strip at your fingertips. Access the monorail, which provides easy transport to Harrah’s, Caesar’s Palace, Paris Las Vegas, MGM Grand and more, just steps outside the resort’s main entrance. For info and tickets, visit lvmonorail.com.

Attendees will be able to pick up badges or register onsite each day, March 3 through March 6 from 7:00am to 5:00pm, in the Pavilion Room. Be sure to check near the exhibit hall entrance for free copies of industry magazines including Sprayfoam Professional, Sprayfoam, Roofing, Roofing Contractor, Professional Roofing, Walls & Ceilings and CoatingsPro. Each of these feature leading news, outstanding projects and a lot of spray foam related content you don’t want to miss.

Kicking off in Vegas are pre-convention activities on March 2, 3 and 4. On these days the Westgate will be abuzz with professional certification courses, written exams and free field exams. There will undoubtedly be professionals taking advantage of the certification savings and some will complete all requirements to be completely certified. Additionally, the ABAA Certified Applicator Training, a two-day co-located event, as well as the beloved annual Golf Tournament will both also be happening before the convention’s official start.

On the morning of Tuesday, March 5, official convention activities kick into gear, starting at 8:00am in the Westgate Resort Ballroom AB with the General Session and Keynote. This year, Kevin O’Connor, host of the Emmy-winning This Old House and Ask This Old House will give what is sure to be meaningful insights into attracting and retaining talent in our field during a labor shortage and in the digital age. O’Connor is a big fan of spray foam and has used it on his TV shows, as well as in his past and present homes.

Also on March 5th, nominees for the National Industry Excellence Awards will meet in an old Vegas (think Rat Pack and 1960s and 1970s glamour) themed ceremony luncheon. New this year, one worthy contractor who entered a project for consideration of one of the regular award categories, will also be recognized with the all-new Small Contractor Award. This award is meant to celebrate the backbone of our industry – small contractors.

On March 5 from 2:00-6:00pm and March 6 from 2:00-5:00pm, the completely sold out Exhibits Hall will be booming with excitement. New products, innovations, equipment and so much more will be on display for all attendees to explore. Find the Exhibits Hall in the Paradise Event Center in the Westgate Resort.

For those looking to learn, the convention features nearly 50 breakout sessions spread across March 5 and 6 with topics spanning: legal protections for contractors; SPF insulation and the Inflation Reduction Act; a roofing contractor panel; the importance of not leaving off-ratio foam in walls and ceilings; regulatory updates on spray foam chemistry; sales training programs and whether you need one; spray foam as a radon solution; paying overtime; respiratory protection basics; how to protect yourself with contracts invoices and estimates; immigration issues in the construction industry; foam safety and quality; selling SPF to Madison Square Garden; and countless others. Breakout sessions are located in the Pavilion Rooms.

Says SPFA President Bonnie Strickler, “The SprayFoam Convention & Expo is the place to be this time every year. Where else can you meet with customers, learn about the latest product innovations, take countless educational courses, get certified, and have an all-around great time? You pair all that with us being in Vegas this year and the excitement is off the charts.”

A warm thank you to the countless sponsors, media and industry partners, speakers, staff and volunteers who are making this event possible. We extend a special shout out to our Platinum Event Sponsor Huntsman Building Solutions.

Everyone, please enjoy this year’s show!
