Successful Florida Builders Use Spray Foam in Beach Construction Work

DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA - March 23, 2011 - If you're a home renovator and you specialize in homes that are worth a lot of money, you need to know what the best treatments and tools are. Stan and Josh Rosenbaum of Stajo Construction are expert home renovators who have one goal: "Our goal is to satisfy the customer," they told The Daytona Beach News-Journal.

They take that goal very seriously. "I always say that when you sign up with Stajo and the Rosenbaums, we're married to you, and we're going to do everything we can to satisfy your needs even if it costs us," said Stan. The company has renovated some of the biggest, most expensive homes in the area and has worked over the years on everything from luxury high rise apartment buildings to McMansions.

In 1984, Stan worked on a 92-unit condominium on the Intercoastal Waterway. "They were beautiful then, and they're still beautiful," affirms Stan. His hard work and expert craftsmanship shone through in the building's redesign and he was asked to work on "55 additional condo units, which I sold to Centex Properties," he said. "They used my design and project name, Marina Bay, and built it in the 1990s."

After working on so many big, expensive projects, the Rosenbaums have become experts in what products are most appropriate for energy efficiency upgrades and insulation fixes, among other things. A lot of the homes the Rosenbaums work on are located near the water, and salt water provides its own unique challenges. According to the Rosenbaums, spray foam is an ideal tool to help keep homes properly insulated and to prevent salt water from leaking in.

Joshua Rosenbaum is very interested in maintaining the green credentials of the buildings he and his father work on. "In 2008, I got my general contractors license from the state of Florida. I'm very interested in green construction and development," he asserts. "So I became a certified green professional through the National Homebuilders Association, as well as an accredited professional with the Green Building Council."

Josh says that spray foam is a critical instrument in almost all of their remodeling and construction work. Because of spray's foam's low environmental toll and its efficacy, spray foam has been instrumental in the company's success.

The Rosenbaum's hard work has not gone unnoticed. In 2008, the father and son duo won an award from the Flagler Home Builders Association for their detail and design on 28 homes in Stajo, Florida. One home they worked on received the top Score Award for its energy efficiency. Stan affirms that "anybody who knows us knows what we stand for."

"Josh and I live in homes in Oceam Hammock and Hammock Beach, and we're doing 75 percent of our building in that community," he said. Spray foam is the preferred type of insulation in their own homes, and they will continue to use it in future building.
