SprayWorks Equipment Introduces Temperature Controller For Drum Heater System

HARTVILLE, OH – October 15, 2013 – SprayWorks Equipment Group introduces Blazer TC temperature controller for their Barrel Blazer Drum Heating System. Following the success of their heating system for A-and B-component drums, SprayWorks enhanced the product by creating a wall mounted controller unit that provides precise in-container temperatures.

SprayWorks' Blazer TC temperature controller allows the client to take the drum heating benefits of Barrel Blazer system and add the ability to control the in-container temperature. The Blazer TC works well with open-and closed-cell spray polyurethane foams, polyurea, and other high viscosity materials.

"We developed this device because we wanted customers to know the exact temperature they are dealing with when heating up their drums," says SprayWorks' Dave Penta. "This device answers the reoccurring question of why a machine is not working in cold weather, SPF applications. Typically, the crew is unaware of the exact temperature of the materials. If the temperature is too cold, then the materials would not process through the machine."

SprayWorks' Blazer TC has a select feature that provides a wide range of settings in both Fahrenheit and Celsius. The Blazer TC also allows the user to regulate the temperature from a high point to a low point to decrease energy consumption.

"You can input a temperature – for instance, 75ºF – and if that's as high as you want it to go, the Barrel Blazer will shut off and stop heating when it gets to that temperature," says Penta. "You can also program the controller so that if it gets down to a certain temperature, it will automatically kick back and take it up to the desired temperature, which reduces energy by maintaining a minimum temperature and not going above a certain temperature."

Penta adds that the settings allow the user to monitor the temperature to see if its consistent when it comes to the recirculating process and it also allows the user to avoid overheating the blowing agent.

An American-made product, SprayWorks' Blazer TC temperature controller is FCC-compliant and Canadian DOC-compliant.
