SprayWorks Brings SPF Industry New Benchmark for Mobile Spray Rigs

HARTVILLE, OH–June 4, 2013–SprayWorks Equipment Group has bridged the gap between performance and price point with its newly introduced M-16 Master Series Spray Rig. The 16-ft tag-along rig is a compact addition to SprayWorks' Master Series line of spray foam rigs, which are built to deliver performance.

"The M-16 Spray Rig can compete production-wise with larger spray rigs, but without the cost," said SprayWorks' Dave Penta.

SprayWorks focused on making the M-16's interior layout functional and spacious enough for applicators to work in efficiently. The trailer includes a partition wall with a through-door that sections off the fuel tank, air dryer, air compressor, and generator.

"You almost forget you're standing in a 16-foot rig when you're inside it," said Penta. "There's just that much room inside."

In terms of customization, contractors can choose the electric or gas-powered option for the air compressor, and a gas or diesel generator to power the rig. Alternatively, the rig can incorporate a diesel generator/compressor combo unit. For the proportioner, the M-16 can be outfitted with PMC's PH-20, PH-25, or even the PH-40.

The interior workspace features a toolbox/workbench and overhead cabinet space. Several more overhead cabinets can be added at the request of the contractor for even more interior storage space.

The M-16 can be outfitted to carry up to three sets of material, which pushes the envelope for a 16-ft rig. The unit also addresses an issue related to the material drums that is often overlooked.

"Trailers have a gap between the edge of the floor and the ramp when the door is open," said Penta. "When you're moving a 500-lb. material drum on a dolly, getting the dolly past the gap can be a challenge."

To address the gap issue, SprayWorks has incorporated a hinged steel bridge plate that extends from the trailer floor to the ramp door. The bridge plate unfolds as the rear door opens to its ramp position, so there's no more unnecessary bumps or getting stuck altogether.
