Spray Foam Insulation Company Returns to Daytona 24 in 2009

January 6, 2009 - CARTERSVILLE, GA- Following a steady debut in 2008, Foametix Spray-On Insulation has joined forces with Autometrics Motorsports to take their second assault at the legendary Rolex 24 at Daytona.

“We’re very pleased to return to Daytona for the legendary Rolex 24” stated H.D. “Scooter” Delaune, President of Foametix. “Last year was a great showcase for our product, and kicked off an amazing relationship between our product and motorsports.”

The Rolex 24 at Daytona is widely recognized as North America’s most challenging sports-car race. Gathering stars from NASCAR, IndyCar, and Sports-Car racing, the race will literally begin at 3PM on Saturday, January 24, and end at 3PM on Sunday, January 25. Running in the GT category, the keys to wining will be joining speed with incredible efficiency and reliability.

“To win at Daytona requires an intense amount of precision, efficiency, and attention to detail,” explained Claudio Burtin, driver of the #14 Foametix Porsche 997 GT3 Cup Car. “When you look at what Foametix is trying to showcase with their spray-on insulation, the fit between the two organizations is pretty apparent.”

As the manufacturer of one of the premier brands of spray-on insulation, Foametix prides its product on not only being incredibly quick and easy to apply, but easily the most efficient, and safest form of insulation on the planet. With a stronger resistence to moisture and heat transfer than conventional forms of insulation, not to mention being safer and healthier, the values between Foametix and sports-car racing are very closely lined up.

Based out of Charleston, South Carolina, Autometrics Motorsports will be campaigning a Porsche GT3 997 Cup Car in this year’s Daytona 24. Joining the team will be a star-studded lineup of drivers. Cory Friedman and Mac McGehee return to the team as they have for several years, and new to the team will be Claudio Burtin, a veteran of the SpeedGT and Trans-Am series, Martin Ragginger, one of Porsche’s star junior drivers, and Jack Baldwin, a legend of the Trans-Am series and one of Daytona’s most famous personalities.

“After we ran Daytona last year, we went on to the SpeedGT series where our car won more races than anyone else. Hopefully 2009 will be just as spectacular,” claimed DeLaune.

The Rolex 24 at Daytona will begin at 3PM EST on January 24, with live coverage on Fox Sports and SpeedTV. For more information be sure to check out www.grand-am.com
