New Jersey Spray Foam Company Completes Large Community Project

NEWARK, NJ – December 14, 2011 – Coastal Insulation Corporation, in conjunction with HELP USA and the Make It Right Foundation, recently completed a project that involved the application of spray polyurethane foam for the Clinton Avenue Urban Renewal Project in Newark, N.J.

Coastal Insulation was hired to apply spray polyurethane foam to nearly 56 units of rental housing over a 60,000-square-foot area that included computer rooms, a fitness center, meeting rooms and community service space.

"Spray foam insulation was applied because it provides unique benefits to this project to the different types of areas and substrates including steel beams, metal decking, atrium ceilings and garage band joists," said Coastal Insulation Marketing Administrator Anzhelika Ronis.

Spray foam insulation also helped to decrease the environmental effect on the community.

"Spray foam insulation was able to contribute additional LEED points due to its air barrier, energy efficiency capabilities and other 'green' factors," Ronis said.

Although Coastal Insulation worked to apply spray foam into the units, the company faced a few challenges while working on the job site.

"The project had an aggressive timetable," Ronis said. "And areas had to be partitioned off so that other trade workers could keep working without slowing down their schedule."

After 40 days of working, the Clinton Avenue Urban Renewal Project was successfully completed.

Ronis expressed that Coastal Insulation was very excited about the project, and hopes in the future to work on community-benefitting projects.
