MOUNT AIRY, NC – October 9, 2013 – Since 1964 NCFI Polyurethanes has been the industry leader in the formulation and manufacturing of rigid and flexible polyurethanes for a wide range of residential, industrial, commercial and consumer applications. In 1994 NCFI developed its first geotechnical polyurethane foam system and that same system is still being used today.

TerraThane™ geotechnical polyurethane foams are available in a wide range of physical properties and are used in numerous infrastructure repair and construction applications.

TerraThane geotechnical systems are available in a broad range of densities, strength values, reaction times or flow characteristics and backed up with the experience of understanding, and specifying the best system for the project.

TerraThane systems range in density from 2.0pcf upwards to 6.0pcf with strength values ranging 27psi upwards to 120psi based on ASTM D1621 Free Rise. Confined compression strength ranges from 75psi upwards to 240psi.

TerraThane applications include but not limited to; pipeline trench breakers and pads, concrete slab lifting/raising. void filling, cavity filling, lightweight or substitute back fill, sub-grade utility line encapsulation, mine closure systems, manhole and culvert repair. TerraThane markets include; residential, industrial, commercial, departments of transportations, and municipalities.

NCFI Polyurethanes has a fully staffed technical service and training department which includes a full line of Graco polyurethane foam processing equipment and repair parts. We also build and supply fully equipped trailer packages specially designed for geotechnical applications.
