Government of Quebec Recognizes Demilec Inc for its Ecological Spray Foam Systems
DEMILEC inc. - an environmentally responsible North American leader in polyurethane foam systems- is the "2010 Quebec award recipient" of the "PHÉNIX DE L’ENVIRONNEMENT" from the Government of Quebec (Responsible Consumption).
For the past thirteen years, the «PHÉNIX DE L’ENVIRONNEMENT» contest has been aiming at recognizing remarkable actions made in Quebec and of which the priority is the conservation and the sustainable use of resources combined with the preservation of our quality of life.
DEMILEC innovates with its new generation of high performance environmentally friendly insulating material by bringing a green solution up to the challenges imposed by the application of the Montreal Protocol. The use of these insulating foams permits a reduction in energy consumption of up to 50%, while increasing at the same time the comfort and the quality of life of the inhabitants.
After an important "R & D" project, new manufacturing plants were built to obtain the necessary chemical synthesis and formulation of these new isolating materials. Their commercialization is done through a specification strategy with architects, proper professional training and onsite quality controls.

Made in Boisbriand, Qc, Canada, "HEATLOK SOYA" is the most technologically advanced spray-applied polyurethane foam and meets the new Canadian environmental regulations. For its new generation of Spray Polyurethane Foam Insulation, DEMILEC embraces the ecological concern (the sustainable development approach) by introducing recycled plastic bottles, renewable natural soya oil and water to substitute non renewable natural oil based chemicals in the manufacturing of its insulating products to better protect the environment.
DEMILEC innovates with its new "HEATLOK SOYA", a closed cell spray polyurethane foam insulation system which combines, in one application, the three essential elements of a building envelope : insulation, air-barrier and vapour barrier. Moreover, "HEATLOK SOYA", with no Ozone Depletion Substance (Zero ODS) contributes credits for the Canadian Green Building rating system "Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design" program (LEED).
