Former NFL QB Terry Bradshaw To Highlight Benefits of Icynene Spray Foam on 'The Environmental Report'

MISSISSAUGA, ON – November 9, 2012 – Former NFL quarterback Terry Bradshaw will highlight the benefits of Icynene spray foam insulation this week on the Fox Business Network's "The Environmental Report." Producers of the show approached Icynene about featuring them in the segment in order to help educate homeowners about the benefits of spray foam insulation, its environmental and health benefits, and the science behind the product.

The segment will air Sunday, November 11, 2012 at 3:30pm EST in the United States and will also be broadcast on the DIY network in Canada.

According to Betsy Cosper, Icynene's Vice President of Marketing, the producers of the show wanted to run a strong segment on sustainable buildings from an insulation perspective. "The Environmental Report does an excellent job of explaining a wide variety of environmental issues," she said. "It spans quite a range."

Cosper added that spray foam receives a lot of attention from environmental advocates. "We've had a lot of success talking to the green consumer," she said. "Anyone who is interested in 'green' is interested in our product."

The fact that the segment is airing shortly after Hurricane Sandy is coincidental. "It is very timely that this will be out there because so many people are looking for solutions right now," Cosper said. "In any areas with these natural disasters, people with spray foam have come away a lot luckier than those who don't have spray foam in their homes."

Realizing the recent demand and urgency of educating people about spray foam, Icynene is providing literature for homeowners and contractors in an effort to better educate them about how to deal with building structures affected by hurricanes. The company is training their New York-area contractors in the storm's aftermath as well. "We want to give them a full understanding of what they need to do and be aware of," Cosper said.

Currently, Icynene is working on a documentary with PBS about net-zero homes, which will air early next year.
