JobPro Technology, Inc. Provides Web-Based Service To Track Leads, Create Bids, And Manage Jobs

HUNTERSVILLE, NC – November 14, 2012 – Not long ago, we worried about losing documents, photos, and files if something went wrong with our computers, like viruses or hardware problems. Now, we can save our data online into "the cloud," a term used to describe web-based services delivered via the Internet. Your computer could get run over by a truck and your data would still be available from any computer in the world. Companies like JobPro Technology, Inc. have harnessed the power of this technology to help the service industry better manage their businesses.

JobPro provides web-based services that allow contractors to waste less time tracking leads, creating bids, and managing jobs all in a secure, centralized, online environment. According to Robin Reavis, a co-owner of the company, this gives contractors more time to focus on their business.

"Our customers' information is backed up throughout the day and is stored offsite at a Class A data center out of Charlotte, North Carolina where companies such as banking organizations store their data in cages right next to our customer information," Reavis added.

One major benefit of JobPro's product is that it makes storage of important information more secure. Imagine if all your business's most important documents were lost during the recent hurricane.

"Think of all the poor people who were hit and lost stuff in their business because it was all paper files and they are all wet and gone," Reavis said. "As bad as it was, customers could literally get to a computer, login, and not have lost anything related to their business."

The aftermath of Hurricane Sandy left many spray foam contractors inundated with jobs and some are scrambling to manage them all. Many businesses are turning to companies like JobPro in an effort to help manage their workflow more efficiently with less paper chasing.

According to Reavis, most of the company's business comes from contractors wanting to get away from using papers, pencils, Excel spreadsheets, chalkboards, and post-it notes to run their businesses.

"Our business has grown tremendously from people identifying the need for something beyond that," he said, "It gives them a professional platform so they can take their business from an archaic process to realizing hey, now I can grow my business and I've got a better handle on things."

JobPro customers are provided with their own URL, user ID, and password, so their business information is available 24/7. Reavis said his customers appreciate that they can track and manage the whole business process from lead, to bid, to proposal, to job, to work order, to job costing, all in one central location. "It makes everyone more efficient, more professional, and more accurate with what they're doing," he added.

Contractors can enter the square footage of a job and the number of inches they spray in order to generate a quote. The software also includes a calculator that factors in the pitch of the roof. The system auto-calculates the material labor costs and profits and what they should be based on input.

It is also possible to track leads to find out how many leads are coming from what source. An owner can see how many leads someone has, or how many have gone to a bid and proposal for example.

"We are always adding new features and functions based on customer feedback," Reavis said, "Software will be better a year from now than it is today, that's the evolution of software."

JobPro provides webinar training for staff that will be using the software on how to enter leads, bids, and proposals as well as creating work orders, job costing, profitability, and invoicing. "We've got all levels of expertise when it comes to technology and using our software," Reavis said. "We've trained guys that hadn't even turned on a computer before they got the software and we've got guys that came from the white collar industry and are very computer literate."

JobPro services all types of contractors including dry wall and glass door installers, but Reavis said the insulation – particularly the spray foam segment – has grown tremendously. "We have developed the software to fit the spray foam industry over the past four to five years," he said. He added that a significant amount of his customer base is either full-service spray foam contractors or contractors whose spray foam business represents a significant part of their revenue.

It is particularly important to spray foam contractors, according to Reavis, that they have the ability to understand their true cost when doing business proposals and know exactly what they should be making on the job based on input.

"They're not winging it, they're not guessing, they're not hoping on the proposal side," he said. "Once they've won the job and performed it, they put the actuals in so they know they quoted two sets for the job and wound up spraying two and a half sets, for instance, and can ask, 'what went wrong?'"

"Spray foam material is an expensive product. If they over-spray by 15 or 20 percent, there went the owner's profit right there," said Reavis.

JobPro's customers consist of both small and large companies, from Mom-and-Pop businesses with only one crewmember, to guys with multiple rigs and multiple offices. According to Reavis, "The system helps the larger businesses to be more organized and keep such a big operation running smoothly."

As for the smaller businesses, Reavis commented, "We have so many guys that are small operators that were holding it all together with bubble gum and paper clips. They've told us that our software has made them a better company and that their customers look at them differently now because their proposals are more professional."

"It's always a good feeling to know you're helping those guys that were doing it the old-fashioned way," said Reavis. "We've made a significant impact on their operations."
