Foametix Ready for Daytona Return

DAYTONA, FL – November 13, 2014 - Daytona International Speedway will play host this weekend to the 2014 SCCA Trans Am championship season finale. The Foametix Corvette C7.R is ready to make its debut at the famed track with seasoned sportscar driver Claudio Burtin.

This weekend marks a long-awaited return for Burtin to the Daytona International Speedway. He has competed in the Rolex 24 at Daytona six times with a successful best finish of 10th place and he is confident going into this weekend's event.

"I am really looking forward to getting on track this week in Daytona with our Foametix Corvette C7.R," said Claudio Burtin. "This has been a long time coming for me to get back into a competitive car with a competitive team. We are looking for a top finish here this weekend."

The MTI Foametix Corvette program is being led by expert Reece Cox, a well respected owner, driver and engineer. Cox will crew chief for Burtin this weekend on the No. 7 Foametix Corvette C7.R.

Another ace in Burtin's corner this weekend is Foametix racing coach and driver Martin Ragginger, who will be working closely with Burtin to get up to speed quickly and provide support throughout the weekend.

Burtin will compete against a line-up of past rivals and friends, including Tommy Kendall, Tommy Archer and Doug Petersen. The 103.24-mile, 29-lap race is set to be the most exciting of the season and one you will surely not want to miss.

Round 11 of the SCCA Trans Am series at Daytona International Speedway is scheduled to go green at 10:30 a.m. ET on Saturday, November 15. Race fans are encouraged to follow @FoametixRacing on Twitter and Facebook for event updates and results.
