Coastal Hosts Successful Spray Foam ABAA Training Program in New Jersey

EAST WINDSOR, NJ - May 17, 2011 - As homeowners and businesses alike move to increase energy efficiency measures, they often use insulating spray foam to fill in leaks and cracks that can occur around windows and doors, among other areas. Coastal, which specializes in spray foam application, recently held a training course for the Air Barrier Association of America (ABAA).

According to the New Jersey-based company, they offered two separate classes for people looking to gain hands-on experience in the application of spray foam. The two classes given were a Sprayed Polyurethane Foam Installer Certification Challenge Program, and a Quality Assurance Program Administrator Course, the company affirmed.

The program was designed to give attendees both a theoretical and hands-on understanding on spray foam application. It is essential for spray foam to be employed correctly and when it is, it can help homeowners and businesses to cut their utility bills as they experience improved energy efficiency.

Darren Newhook, who oversaw the program, thanked Coastal for allowing the ABAA to use its state-of-the-art facility.

"We are grateful to Coastal for lending us their facility," Newhook said in a statement. "We're excited to increase the number of ABAA certified installers through these trainings."
