New SPF App Improves Job Estimation Process

New SPF App Improves Job Estimation Process

GREENSBORO, GA – January 28, 2013 – Spray Foam Systems' (SFS) new web-based app, the SFS Pro App is sure to provide an easier route for spray foam contractors to save time when they are at the jobsite. SFS is positioning the app as an industry benchmark, as it will be the first to feature spray foam calculation tools coupled with business class estimating software.

"We've never seen an app like this for the insulation industry," said SFS' TJ Peters. "The app is a web tool that can be used across all platforms. Whether it's PC, Mac, OSX, iOS, or Android, it can be accessed. We created it based on what the industry standard called for, so that SPF contractors are a step ahead of the competition."

The SFS ProAPP's feature tool is a built-in spray foam calculating software known as "Estimate Rocket." The ProAPP calculator tool enables the contractor to go into a jobsite and input critical specifications: the square footage of the spray area, the average spray foam thickness that will be applied, and, if called for, the thickness of coating to be applied. The app will calculate a dollar amount so a contractor can provide a customer with an immediate quote. The app also has features built in for fiberglass and cellulose applications, as well as the ability to create custom items.

"The ProAPP takes all the calculations from an SPF job and creates a full-blown professional estimate with pictures attached that one can e-mail or print out instantly," says Peters. "The app also has the ability to save all measurements and SPF characteristics that is put into it, so it is a great tool for contractors to not only provide a quick, professional and uniform report, but to be able to save multiple trips and downtime on a job."

Peters noted that another advantage of the ProAPP being a web-based tool is that it will be constantly getting new software updates, so it continues to be accessible through all electronic devices.

The SFS ProAPP provides Customer Relationship Management (CRM) features, which allows for the addition of different members of a designated contracting company to track, control, and reassign leads from the source all the way to invoicing. Additionally, the app contains helpful troubleshooting guides for spray foam and SPF equipment embedded into it, as well as a link to the SFS Online Network.

SFS will be unveiling the ProAPP at the 2014 SPFA SprayFoam Convention & Expo, where they will have electronic devices at their booth to properly demonstrate the app's functions to the show's attendees.

Peters explained that next in the line of SFS' innovations is the launch of their ProPAK XD Series Spray Foam Rigs, which will be featured in the March/April issue of Spray Foam Insulation & Roofing Magazine. These new rigs allow contractors to expand their business into new segments of the polyurethane industry, such as concrete lifting, polyurea, and injection foams.
