New Gaco Western Program Benefits Non-Profit Organizations

SEATTLE, WA – January 6, 2015 – Gaco Western recently unveiled a new social responsibility program, aptly named GacoGives. “As part of truly living our Core Values, we support Doing the Right Thing with a Humanistic Approach and this is extended beyond Gaco by supporting our communities and the causes we believe in,” said Vicki Campbell - VP, People Strategy & Development.

The first GacoGives program was held during October to raise awareness for Breast Cancer and provide donation support to local Komen affiliates in Seattle Puget Sound, Southeast Wisconsin and Western New York. Gaco Western committed to donating a percentage of the profits from every pail of GacoFlex coatings sold in October. All Gaco Employees received a Pink Ribbon lapel pin and were given the opportunity to donate $5 and receive a special-edition GacoGives Pink Duck. In total, the Gaco Western Family raised $11,340 during the month of October for local Komen affiliates.

In November, Gaco Western held their 3rd Annual Northwest Harvest Fundraising Drive. The Northwest Harvest is a Washington State hunger relief organization whose relief networks consists of 360 food banks, meal programs and high-need schools. They feed people throughout Washington State on a daily basis to ensure they get meals that they are not able to get anywhere else. Gaco Western's donation of $27,740 provided 120,600 meals.
