Fomo Introduces ColorWise Temperature Warning Nozzles for Low-Pressure Applications

NORTON, OH – September 10, 2013 – Fomo Products, Inc. introduces its latest innovation, patent-pending ColorWise™ Temperature Warning nozzles. Temperature is the key to spraying high-quality foam with maximum yield and ColorWise nozzles provide a visual check to ensure the chemical is not at an extreme cold temperature.

ColorWise Temperature Warning Nozzles turn blue when chemical being sprayed through the nozzle is too cold (below 60°F), letting contractors know that it is time to stop spraying and bring the chemical to the proper temperature (between 70-85° F) before beginning again. The nozzles change to blue if left in cold conditions such as a truck or warehouse overnight – but if properly conditioned chemical is sprayed through it- it will change back to clear within seconds! These innovative nozzles will provide a signal that helps contractors spray quality foam while maximizing yield.

"Providing end users the most intuitive tools possible to produce high-quality foam has always been a top priority for us," says Sara Jonas, vice president of marketing, Fomo Products Inc. "Temperature is a critical issue for spray foam contractors and we want to provide them not only with the information about properly conditioning chemical, but with the ability to quickly identify when the chemical is reaching low temperatures that could effect the quality of the foam. ColorWise nozzles are a clear visual indicator that warns the end-user on the spot."

Chemical temperature is very important for polyurethane foams. Fomo recommends storing kits and tanks at 70-85° F (21-29° C) for 24-48 hours prior to use. Optimum chemical temperature is typically 70-85° F (21-29° C) but can vary depending on formulation, check the Technical Data Sheets for formula specific recommendations.
