Demilec (USA) LLC® Reveals a New Thermal Barrier Coating

ARLINGTON, TX – February 2, 2011 - Demilec (USA) LLC® in conjunction with TPR2® Corporation is thrilled to announce a new thermal barrier coating for their closed cell spray foam insulation, HEATLOK SOY® 200.  Blazelok™ TB 200 over HEATLOK SOY® 200 is a code compliant interior finish system that does not require a 15 minute thermal barrier.  This time and money saving combination will allow the foam to be installed above drop ceilings, in exposed roof decks and in metal buildings without ½ inch gypsum board. The Blazelok™ TB 200 coating will also allow HEATLOK SOY® 200 to be used in attics and crawl spaces which are used for storage, without restrictions.

The HEATLOK SOY® 200 and Blazelok™ TB 200 system meets all requirements of the IBC Section 803.2, the IRC Section 315.4 and the NFPA 101, Life Safety Code, Section 10.2.3.7.2.  This application will also be reflected on the new ESR for HEATLOK SOY® 200 which is currently in the final stages of review with the ICC Evaluation Service.  This is extremely exciting news for the entire spray foam industry and will allow HEATLOK SOY® 200 closed cell foam to be used in many applications which were previously impossible.
