Covestro Speakers to Present Spray Foam Educational Session at the 2016 International Builders’ Show
SPRING, TX – January 12, 2016 – Air infiltration accounts for considerable home energy losses, making it one of the biggest monetary wastes homeowners face. Covestro speakers will present a session on air barrier best practices with spray polyurethane foam (SPF) insulation at the International Builders’ Show (IBS) in Las Vegas in January, 2016.

Covestro Regional Account Managers Martins Pecholcs and Michael Strohecker will address the components and recommended construction for an air barrier assembly using SPF insulation. They will also cover the steps necessary to fulfill the ASTM requirements of an air barrier as an insulation system.

Covestro will be exhibiting SPF wall insulation and roofing systems at the IBS Expo in booth C6847. Covestro is also a sponsor of the NextGen Net-Zero/Healthy Home 2016, on display at IBS in the Outdoor Exhibits area in front of the Central Hall. The 432 s.f. home is built to achieve net-zero energy usage and is a showcase for products that improve indoor air quality and whole house water quality. Covestro donated Bayseal Closed-cell (CCX) SPF insulation and Bayblock elastomeric coating for the home. USI, a Covestro-accredited contractor, completed the installation.The home will be open for tours January 19-21, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
