Bayer MaterialScience helps Beazer Homes achieve recognition as 2013 ENERGY STAR® leader

SPRING, TEXAS – November 26, 2013 – The Houston Division of Beazer Homes USA, Inc. received a 2013 ENERGY STAR® Leadership in Housing Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Every new home in Houston built by Beazer in the past three years includes Bayseal® OC (open-cell) spray polyurethane foam (SPF) insulation from Bayer MaterialScience LLC.

Every new home built by Beazer is ENERGY STAR Certified. To achieve this certification, each Beazer home is inspected, tested and verified by an independent energy rater to confirm the design and construction meets or exceeds the strict requirements set by the EPA.

Bayer provided all of the SPF insulation used in new homes in the 14 developments by Beazer Homes within a 30 mile radius of Houston. Representatives from Beazer cite performance and company knowledge as key benefits of working with Bayer, a partnership that started three years ago.
