Kansas High School Students Learn the Art of Spray Foam

EUDORA, KS – May 13, 2019 – Farm and Home Insulation was honored to assist Kansas based, Eudora High School’s industrial arts class, in completing its very first building project! The house was constructed almost entirely by high school students, which has led some of them to explore skills and trades that they may eventually enter into upon graduating from high school.

Most of the application of the spray foam was completed by Farm and Home, however, the students completed the post work by prepping the area for inspection and the application of sheetrock. The students learned the importance of being thorough during the prep work so there are no unexpected complications later in the project. The job took two full days with a two-person crew. They installed two sets and installed two inches of foam.

Ron Shanks co owner of Farm and Home Insulation states, “It was amazing seeing the work and the pride that was put into the project by the students and the support of the community. This was also the first job where my eldest daughter, Kolbi helped out.”
