Architect specs
Can you tell me what this architect is calling for? The spec calls for ASTM C 1029-Standard Specification for Spray- Applied Rigid Cellular POlyurethane Thermal Insulation; 2005a.

The prints do not state an r-value.
It is calling for 5 1/2 ins. in the walls and roof.

ASTM C 1029 is the standard specification for spray applied cellular polyurethane foam. It classifies SPF into 4 types according to minimum compressive strength

Type 1: 15 psi min,
Type II: 25 - 39 psi
Type III: 40 - 59 psi
Type IV: 60 psi min

C 1029 also lists properties for each type such as
R value: (6.2 min for all types), response to humid aging (dimensional stability, water absorption, tensile strength, closed cell content (90% min) and permeability (resistance to water vapor, 3.0 min)

In short the spec is calling for a closed cell SPF with a non-water blowing agent such as a HFC 245 blend.

Check you material supplier's data sheet and download ASTM C 1029 at astm.org (costs around $25)
