Super insulated walls and ceilings
Anyone out there promoting the use of or designing super insulated walls or cathedral ceilings?I find it hard to get most builders to understand the concept that you need to remove the thermal bridging to improve the total R-value of the wall and improve the energy saving benefits of the foam insulation. Very few people even get the idea, and the few that do are building the monolithic domes or some other unconventional building design at a higher cost than we could do a stick built home using spray foam.
