HV 20/35problems
Anyone out there know where I can find a transformer for my hose heater on a HV 20/35, my suppliers told me they no longer make it and I sure don't want to scrap it for a stupid part.

If it's just the transformer, then you should be able to find one that would work. The transformer just steps the voltage down for the hose heat. Look around on it good and you might find a makers name with a part number. Gusmer did not make every part. Some were bought off shelf. You need to know the voltage coming in and the voltage coming out. Check with some electrical parts houses. Might find one that would work. Keep us posted.

Thanks, but its really not quite that easy, my proportioner regulates the transformer to kick on and off for the desired temp. As far as voltage it uses 220 volts and puts out 46 volts DC when using 160 foot of hose, and different voltages when you use different lengths.

Your hose heat controller should control that function. Your proportioner just pumps your material down your spray hoses. Your transformer just changes the voltage. The transformer should be easy to change out with another. Do some more checking. I would almost bet that Gusmer is not the manufacture of the transformer itself.

This guy is a little hard to get a hold of but you can try Bob @ 1-888-920-1313 or ask for parts, they have a lot of old Gusmer parts available.

Pretty much about 90% of the electrical components in any proportioner is not made by the manufacturer. You might be able to get a replacement at a locat electrical supply company it'll probably be slightly different or made to handle different volts being an old part but should still work.
