Fiberglass as 15 Min Thermal Barrier?
I just posted this on another forum that I saw a furnace in an attic which was spray foamed and it had an enclosure around the furnace made out of 1/2" plywood, but the ends and seams of te plywood were not even sealed! So, how can this be acceptable to the 15 minute thermal barrier codes? I can't see how it can or how the fiberglass around it can help make any difference! So how does this pass the code when it does nothing for the building owner - literaly nothing!Jim |
