Does Soy based foam encourage mold?
Apologies in advance if this has been asked. I didn't find anything in a search.

I am thinking of using a Soy based foam (closed cell) in my basement - in the upper rafter area.

Does this organic material based foam encourage mold over other types? Should I even be using it?

(I am aware that even flooring mastic glues encourage mold, and thus my question).

Thanks!

Nope, the soy based foams are not more or less likely to grow mold than the other foams. The biggest concern in preventing mold to prevent condensation within the building envelope. By providing a suitable thickness of insulation and an air barrier, sprayfoam contributes a lot to preventing condensation.
