Insulthane® OCX Plus with X-Pass™ Technology

Insulthane® OCX Plus with X-Pass™ Technology is an open-cell OCX spray foam developed by Elastochem to meet AC377 Appendix X fire test requirements while delivering more reliable processing in real job site conditions.

OCX spray foam insulation traditionally relies on sucrose-based chemistry to achieve Appendix X compliance. While effective in testing, sucrose formulations can cause challenges in the field, including crystallization, clogged equipment, and inconsistent performance as temperatures and site conditions fluctuate.

Insulthane OCX Plus was developed using a sucrose free formulation that meets Appendix X requirements while reducing common equipment processing challenges.Insulthane OCX Plus was engineered to address the known issues that slow crews down. It maintains stable viscosity across a wide processing temperature range and uses a low-residue, sucrosefree formulation to help protect pumps, hoses, proportioners, and spray guns. This supports less downtime and reduces the need for unplanned equipment maintenance.

Contractors notice the difference immediately at the gun. Insulthane OCX Plus delivers a smooth, controlled rise that supports accurate lifts and strong adhesion to common substrates. The foam produces a uniform cell structure that trims cleanly and maintains consistent quality from the first pass of the morning to the last cavity of the day.

For fast on-site verification, Insulthane OCX Plus is produced in a light gray (Stone Gray) color, allowing installers, inspectors, and building owners to easily identify Appendix X compliant foam.
