Spraying Surface
I would like to know some thoughts on what type of surfaces people would suggest to spray 2lb foam on when spraying the ground of a basement before the concrete is poured. My contractor wants to reduce the cost of foaming the ground. Instead of spraying the drainage stone (which obviously would take more chemical to get the required depth of foam) I have heard of people putting down tar paper or house wrap. Could a person use 6 mil poly for an application like this or what would be some other options?

a well prepared grade should not require all that much "additional fluid"...
we prefer a dry, compacted road stone type grade..and,, when there is an adequate depth of stone which has been leveled and compacted find that we can lay a nice slab on grade...
we do not want to spray to sand,,,limeswaste,, or a wet dirt..."i got blisters on my foam buns"...or sumpin like that....
hope this helps...
