SPITTING SPRAY
Anybody have trouble with the foam spitting until it gets hot? Using psi foam, winter grade, spits until 140 degrees at the gun. Preheat at 120/135, outside 75 degrees. Any ideas? Also the spitting is rapid and constant.

charly,,
please post more info:
open or closed cell,,,
pressure processed at...
gun chamber size

how are you getting temp increase via the hose heat? hose heat is meant to ATTEMPT to maintain the temps achieved by your proportioners heaters,,,it is not intended, nor will it work as a temp increasing mechanism....

try bumping up the heaters in 5 degree increments to find the right temp...(it sounds like 135-140 is about the right temp)...set hose heat at about 5 degrees below this temp and see what happens...
try increasing pressure (by 100 degree increments and see if that helps with impingement of the fluids...
try circulating the fluids before you spray...get the colder fluid out of the hose and the freshly heated fluids in there instead....

lets start here....

remember,,any thing colder than about 70 degrees is cold for urethanes,,,viscosity differences/problems is more evident at colder temps...

good luck
