painting iso
i have some left over iso and was wondering about painting it on osb to relieve o mold promblem that i have. the room is set up for a water jet cutter that i keep isolated from the rest of my wood shop to keep dust away from it. i would like to paint the wood with the iso to relieve this issue. do u think that this would b better than a kilz type paint, and if so would there b any health risk involved with this application?

That would be a very bad idea. Not only would it constitute a health hazard but it would crack and not adhere well.

MDI or what most people know it as iso is very dangerous. isocyanates have been known for many years
as the most serious sensitization agents capable of
causing occupational asthma. the thing you got to be careful of is getting sensitized.Sensitization of the respiratory system and the skin is the most troubling health effect from isocyanates.another thing is MDI reacts with water, polyols, amines and ammonia to name a few, so using iso to paint your walls is not a very smart or safe thing to do.
