New Construction - Attic Area Over Porches
I did a quick search and could not find the answer to my question.

I am in the middle of new home construction and I am reviewing quotes for the spray foam. One contractor is proposing spraying the entire attic area including the space above the porches. He indicated he would include the porch ceiling to ensure the area is sealed.

The other contactor is proposing to install barriers (i.e. "house wrap") at the areas where it changes from areas above condition space to the porch areas. He would spray the "house wrap" to form the barrier between the two attic spaces.

Just looking for recommendations for one way or the other.

Also, is it common to spray foam to house wrap that is used as a barrier?

Thanks for any help....

In my opinion i would keep the 2 attic areas separate. Depending on the house wrap they use, the foam may not adhere to it. It would be better to use plywood or even cardboard baffles.
