Is our industry involved in a Lobby
Hi Mason,

There is lots of talk about how superior SPF is as a roofing and insulation material.

Do we have anyone in Washington (or at state level in big influential states: New York, California, Florida, Texas) which is pushing for stricter codes that would mandate or at least make foam more competitive in a our industry (compared to fiberglass/celluose in insulation and single-ply/asphalt in roofing)?

Two trade associations deal with regulatory and code issues on behalf of the SPF industry. Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance and the Air Barrier Association of America. SPFA is located in the DC area.

The American Chemistry Council also deals with some SPF issues when it involves the larger polyurethane and/or chemical industry issues.
