Exterior foam coating for walls
We need a coating for sprayed closed cell SPF that has been applied to the exterior foundation walls & also for exterior walls of the living space.
We have been currently using an FRP product from NUDO called groundbreaker to cover the foam We are looking for something better and easier to work with.
I have seen pictures of 2 houses with exterior foam - one had a stucco look and the other an adobe look. Is there acoating similar to stucco that can be applied directly to the foam?
All appliction and prep info would be appreciated.
Thanks

There are some coatings that are acrylic based with cementitious fillers that have been used succesfully in that type of application. The company I used to work for UCSC had one but I don't know if they continued it when they became part of Bay Systems.

Check with some of the major foam suppliers for their input.

Remember that foam and coating would have to be tested together to pass fire code requirements.

Gunite and shotcrete has also been used succesfully over foam as well as plaster. Depending on thickness, it may meet code requirements without additional testing.
