Closed Cell Foam Exposure
What is the time frame I have to coat 3 inches of closed cell foam?
What are the consequences if not coated within that time period and corrective measures.

Was working under the assumption that I had a month or so.

Actually you should coat the same day you spray. UV degradation starts on foam right away and can affect adhesion of any coating or surfacing that is applied over it. If it goes beyond 24-48 hours, it should be at least primed, after that, it probably would require that the foam surface be abraded for a coating to stick to it. Check with your foam supplier for their specific recommendations. After a month the surface of the foam will turn a dark brown and will turn into a light powder. Nothing sticks well to that surface.

3 lb foam was applied on Feb 2 and so far has only turned off yellow lost shine. Plan is to sand prime lathe and base then seal.
