Congrats on your purchase. Definitely give some feedback on the machine, would like to know how good they are. I've heard they are better built and are more efficient than Graco but cost a little more. How much did you pay for the unit?

That's not a bad price at all, Graco's usually start at 22k I thought it would be more than that.

Bare bones.

I'll try the polar hose and our trusty p2's. It ought to be good.

Hey olger, how do you like that gama proportioner? My hv 20/35 just went down and I cann't get a new transformer for the hose heater and have been eye balling them. Any feed back would be appreciated.

It just arrived on Monday. Looks like a winner. Probably won't fire it up until late February. We have three other rigs...

G-250H sweet. What's the hydraulic oil capacity on that unit? Did you look at any 21st JMT stuff for comparison or straight for the Gama?

Olger,
come on already fire that puppy up, I'm dying to see what an experienced applicator thinks of the GAMA, long live Gusmer.

LOL when do you think you will end up spraying with it? I am looking for input on its performance compared to graco. At there price they look attractive. From the looks of the unit it looks spot on mechanicaly.

Thanks

Buy it. Those guys at Gama know their stuff. Frank Seca & Bill Hyrncywitz are among the finest. They are part of what made Gusmer a great company.

Output? How much do you want?

Hi Olger

What size generator do you need to run the 250 with compressors, et...

I really like the Gama, but I am running a 100 Amp Single Phase Generator (Bobcat) right now and will have to upgrade when I do buy.
Posted: Feb 27, 2009 07:13 AM
be lookin at the 40k minimum
60k would be better,,,
kinda pends on what all you run in the rig that uses electricity,,,,

damn,,,145 amps single phase,,,80-96 amps three phase depending on heater size,,,

now you aint started your compressor yet,,or got the band heaters runnin yet either,,,

'ger,,,so you drive up and hook up to the temp service pole right???

I heard a month or so ago about you buying one, congrats!
We Ohio boys think alike.
I bought a new GAMA 250 last year. First job out was a 110 sq ft. 72 set project. (spec was 3" to 7" thick & polyurea coating). This machine preformed flawlessly. I used the GAMA "Master" air purge. Did the whole job (inc. coating) in 13 working days. One G-250 foam unit and one coating unit. Indeed "Go Gusmer"
Bought my rig from "Spray Works Equipment Group".
I've been doing this for 30 years boys. Nothing beats the Gusmer technology for simplicity and reliability.
btw - my father was a close friend of Fred Gusmer
