Basement - New Construction
I have a new house with a new concrete basement in northern Illinois that is almost all below grade (no walk-out). The HVAC installation includes the basement. We are planning to start finishing the outside walls of the basement soon and we are interested in spray foam for the walls. We were wondering about the best approach for this construction. Could we do 2x2 studs attached to the walls on 16 inch (or more) centers and fill the open areas with CC spray foam? If not what is recommended? Is drywall over that suitable? What is the preferred material to finish the walls in this situation?
