I am not aware of a 6 lb density sprayfoam. I would expect it is a 0.6 lb density. That is more in the range. A 6 lb density sprayfoam would have compressive strengths 80 to 120 psi. A 0.6 lb density would have compressive strength from 6 to 10 psi. Hope this answers your inquiry. |

Mason BioBased has that 6.0 lb sealant soyseal xd and it has vapor perm less than 1 at 1/2 inch. Not much R value ( 5 per inch) but good very durable stuff. They tested for below grade and for industrial ducts and stuff but it is not a roofing sealant or any type of aprooved `house wrap` but I just wounder what you think about it |

We tried making a 6 lb density sprayfoam when I worked with Carpenter in the 80s. The foam was very hard but it was brittle and would crack. I don't have an opinion on the Bio Based foam without some first hand experience. Formulas can vary significantly. They would need to find a way to make the foam more flexible. It is possible. |
