Upcoming Conneticut house bill and spf
Are there any CT SPF contractors reading the forum? Are you aware of upcoming HB 5248? See link at left. A bill that was aimed at urea formaldehyde was ammended at the last minute to include foamed-in-place insulation. It is a bit confusing as it is unclear whether or not urethane foam is included in the bill. Some building code inspectors are already leary of spf because they are not familiar with it. I have info that I can forward to anyone that is interested. Email me George@sprayfoamsupply.com. You need to get involved and write to your state reps and governor before this inpacts your spf business!

George,

After reading the bill, SPF would be acceptable if they had obtained Green Guard approvals, passed the Canadian VOC emissions standard tests, applicators had documented training programs from industry and/or supplier and a few other items. Expect more of this type of regulation in the future.
