Radiant Barrier Info
I have a builder who needs concrete evidence supporting the fact that when foam is sprayed against the radiant barrier decking that it loses its effectiveness. Do you have any articles or links that support this?

Thanks in advance

Do you mean that the foam loses it effectiveness or the radiant barrier?

Also, what is the application?

Foam in an attic, on a wall, on a roof.

Please provide a little more detail

I have not seen any test data on using SPF with radiant barriers. I have seen engineering calculations done by R&D Services showing its efficiency with SPF. But, I would want to see it as part of a tested wall or attic assembly in accordance with ASTM E 1363 (Guarded hot box test) at high and low temperatures compared to SPF by itself.

I suspect the radiant barrier would not provide much extra energy performance over a SPF insulated assembly, but again, I would want to see some tests performed
