Racking and shear strength of a wall with foam
I have a customer that wants to know how much shear strength a 2x4 wall without osb on the outside would have. I gave him the racking test but he is wanting to build a modular house without the OSB and wants to know if the walls would stand up to the stress of a crane picking up the house.

I have been in mobilehomes am just getting into foam. The manufacturer will have all lifting specs for the home. Some homes have the strength in the walls some in the floor and roof. If it will go 60 mph down the road it will lift with the crane.

2x4 drywall with fiberglass insulation = 2408 psi
2x4 drywall with SPF (rigid) = 5380 psi

Olger, who's racking test were you getting that from? Does it say how much it would be if there was OSB or plywood on the fiberglass wall
