polyurethane foam
I am testing a versa foam 28 88 when we put a flame to it, it did flame up an started to burn, but when we move the flame away it started to go out my question is that a sign that there is fire retardant in this foam. everything I read about indicates none present. we have a fire proof that we are testing on foam I have to make sure there is not no fire retardant present.

most plastics(spray foam is a thermoset plastic when processed correctly) when exposed to a source of fire will burn and melt,,,if the flame sourse is removed plastics typically char over and self extinguish..it is the "melting" and subsequent dripping that concerns most officals..
as this molten plastic "could" cause combustion of the more flammable wood products that it lands on...

enjoy...
