OSHA and other friendly chaps..
OSHA has vowed to come after the SPF industry -- after viewing about 500 Youtube videos where some operators are not "Safe enough."

1) OSHA is always under self-imposed pressure to make themselves look important and necessary. Thus their fervor...

2) They have no authority over an owner/operator - it is just employees that they (osha) are whining about.

3) The lady (from osha) who conducted the meetings with foam manufacturers was described to me as a "nasty rabid dog". In my opinion, women like that have no place in the professional world. But that's another story..

4) Be advised, gentlemen. And stay safe.

5) It's always something...

We deal with MSHA on several jobsites regularly in South La. They really aren't that bad. Due to their guidlines, we learned how to tie off, use safety harnesses and SRL's.

All in all, it has been a good expreience. Just don't get caught without your hard hat, safety glasses, steel toes, etc.. or they will write you up.
